FAQ
-
Some church names, like Wesley United Methodist Church or Wesley UMC, are very common and may appear multiple times in the queue.
Before checking your status, please make sure you have copied the church name exactly as it was entered on the Jotform sign-up, including any abbreviations or location details.
If the status you are seeing still does not look correct, please reach out to us directly. We can update the name on the queue so you can easily check the correct status for your church.
Once the name is updated, we will let you know how to find it and confirm where your site is in the process.
-
If your status shows Pending, that means your church is successfully in the queue and no additional action is needed right now.
Positions update automatically as websites are completed. Your place in line will move forward as sites ahead of yours are finished.
You will receive an email from Tithely once your site is complete. If you have upgraded with us, we will be in touch separately with next steps and timing details.
-
Your new site will not look exactly the same as your previous website.
During setup, we copy over your existing content and organize it so it feels familiar and easy to recognize. Because the Tithely Sites platform has its own features and limitations, the design, layout, and structure cannot be exactly replicated from your previous site.
We work within the Tithely platform to create a site that reflects your church while following current web standards and best practices.
Our goal is continuity, not replication. Your site should feel like your church, just clearer, more modern, and easier to maintain.
-
To select a design, you can log in to Tithely, click on Sites, and choose the layout you prefer.
It may help to know that Tithely Sites do not use traditional, locked templates. Every site can be adjusted and customized, even after an initial design is selected.
If you have additional questions about how the Tithely platform works, their support team can help directly at support@tithely.com.

If your current UMC website is offline, please contact support@umcchurches.org
Let them know that you have signed up with Tithely and that your site needs to be placed back online temporarily. This allows time for your content to be copied over before the new site is launched. If your old website was not hosted by UMC Communications, you need to contat you website host.

You do not need to learn the site builder before your site is complete.
Once your site is ready, Tithely will provide access and onboarding resources to help you understand how to manage your site, including pages, content, and basic updates.
If you have upgraded with us, we will also walk you through your site and explain how to care for it moving forward.
Many churches choose ongoing Site Stewardship support so they do not have to learn or manage the builder themselves.
